Gatti, Paolini, Teodoro

Native Turin architects Gatti, Paolini and Teodoro belong to the history of design thanks to 1968, the year of epoch-making changes to tradition, society and culture.
Back then, the 3 arrived at Zanotta armed with a PVC “bag” filled with polystyrene balls, an anonymous and multi-shaped object whose idea they wished to develop on an industrial level. They ended up with a product that was first a cult object and then a new category for furnishing: the “Sacco” armchair, an icon in light, modern, informal and nomadic design. 40 years have gone by since then, as well as many celebrations and successes, pavilions at tradeshows and museums, new colours and upholstery, various copies and just as many international awards won by the authentic Sacco anatomical armchair.
