at Porto Design Biennale

At the 1st edition of the Porto Design Biennale, Italy will attend with a program full of exhibitions and side events including the exhibition “Abitare Italia. Icones so Design italiano” by Paolo Deganello and Maria Milano.

A path among the icons of the great Masters of Italian design. The story of technological inventions, production processes, socio-cultural changes, economic and political factors, intertwined in a story that has produced and still produces icons.

Some of the Zanotta's most famous products take part in this exhibition: the Sciangai clothes stand by De Pas, D'Urbino and Lomazzi as a symbol of the 1970s, an object designed with the intention of being easy to use, functional and empathetic; the Sacco armchair by Gatti, Paolini and Teodoro, an innovation, a provocation, a revolution: the most pop and non-conformist piece of Zanotta production always current for its communicative and disruptive force, symbol of a cultural transformation; the Quaderna console-table by Superstudio, the "neutral" surface that has become a poster of radical design.
