In 2025, Zanotta reaffirms its commitment to experimentation while remaining true to its identity, presenting a collection that weaves together new collaborations and long-standing partnerships. Internationally renowned designers come together for a rich and diverse offering that ranges from Vincent Van Duysen’s exploration of comfort with the Fedrigo sofa, to Francesca Lanzavecchia’s Yori-Kiri bergère, through to the dynamic Z24 Books free-standing bookcase by Muller Van Severen. These three projects perfectly embody the brand’s evolution, where artisanal quality meets design research and a responsible approach to production.

The result of the first collaboration between Zanotta and Belgian designer Vincent Van Duysen, Fedrigo is a modular system born to offer an exceptional comfort experience, with particular attention to sustainability and long-term durability. Its generous volumes and soft profile, defined by a backrest and armrests that merge into a single, harmonious gesture, are complemented by a structure developed according to the principles of disassemblability and the use of sustainable materials.
The sofa's supporting frame is made of plywood and hosts a sculpted form in Circularrefoam® polyurethane, which contains a percentage of recycled polyols. These polyols are reintegrated into the formula used to produce the foam block, which is then shaped. The foam structure, combined with the plywood base, is wrapped in a recycled PET fibre cover, secured with polyester Velcro. The final upholstery, divided for practicality into seat and backrest/armrest sections, is also applied using Velcro. The absence of adhesives allows the product to be fully dismantled at the end of its life cycle, enabling the individual components to be recycled or reused.

With its generous padding and curved armrests extending seamlessly into the backrest, Yori-Kiri strikes a balance between geometric rigour and softness of form. The name Yori-Kiri is inspired by a move from Japanese sumo wrestling that embodies strength, balance, and control — values reflected in the sculptural yet inviting shape of this armchair with its matching ottoman, designed by Francesca Lanzavecchia.
Its dimensions (87 cm wide, 105 cm high, 99 cm deep) provide a generous seat, while a concealed synchronised mechanism allows the backrest to recline smoothly and intuitively, with the option to lock it in any position.
The frame is in steel; the padding in self-extinguishing polyurethane foam with plant-based polyols, complemented by a back cushion in recycled PET fibre. The fabric upholstery is fully removable, ensuring durability and ease of maintenance. The swivel base in polished painted metal is available in talc, hemp, orange, algae, amaranth, and black. The matching pouf (74 × 37 × 58 cm) is crafted with the same construction details, acting as a natural extension of the armchair.

Joining the Z24 collection by Muller Van Severen, the new self-standing Z24 Books bookcase is available in two heights (185 cm and 113 cm). It is designed to be placed against a wall or positioned in the centre of the room as a divider. The bookcase sides, made of glossy lacquered steel, feature the iconic zigzag motif that creates a striking visual and sculptural impact. This element — available in talc, caramel, orange, amaranth, and algae tones — harmoniously pairs with fixed natural oak shelves, creating a refined material contrast between the solidity of wood and the visual lightness of metal. The balanced repetition of carefully arranged triangular forms generates a captivating rhythmic landscape, while the interplay of light and shadow enhances the perception of depth and dynamism. The innate versatility of this piece allows Z24 Books to function either as a standalone element or as part of larger linear compositions, offering maximum design flexibility.
