Architecture should astonish

Sinuosity of lines and lightness of the structure in a game of curves and counter-curves, elegant and dreamy.
Arabesco is one of the most celebrated products of the Italian Design and it is born from a four-handed work in the laboratories of carpentry: "from Mollino sketch, the drawings were created in the 1:1 natural scale and then the model".
In one of these drawings Mollino wrote "hole to be traced in curved wood" in order to remove mass and lighten visually the object.
The result is accuracy and fluidity, in a balance between the curved and caved shapes of the structure, and the transparence of the glass in a balance between the solid and carved shapes, and the transparency of the crystal tops fixed by the metal pawl that echoes the original design.
