With Vertebra, Zanotta celebrates the creative genius of Carlo Mollino, bringing back to life a table originally designed in 1950 for the Italy at Work exhibition in New York and now produced industrially for the very first time. Developed in collaboration with the Italian Property Agency (Agenzia del Demanio), the project enhances an extraordinary archival legacy through a dialogue between memory, craftsmanship and contemporary design. One of the most emblematic expressions of Mollino’s research, Vertebra takes its name from its load-bearing structure, inspired by the human spine and transforming an anatomical element into a structural principle. Its sophisticated balance between structural tension and visual lightness reflects Mollino’s vision of furniture as a living organism and his understanding of design as an extension of the body and movement, expressed through fluid lines, organic forms and sinuous geometries.
