Convertible, welcoming and dynamic: The Galeotta armchair features flip-up cushions and opens up, extending into a chaise longue and a daybed. It is made entirely of differentiated density polyurethane foam and has no supporting frame or internal mechanisms. It consists of three geometric blocks with an irregular profile to create three different configurations, for a seated or semi-supine posture with two different inclinations of the backrest module.

The external removable fabric cover also acts as a zip fastener during the conversion process: it holds the three seat elements together, allowing them to flip up. An informal and versatile armchair for various comfort and space requirements, ideal both in the home as well as in contract and wellness settings.

Galeotta embodies the principle of simple and functional design. Designed by Jonathan De Pas, Donato D'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi in 1968, it was an innovative and revolutionary design from the get-go and helped bring about a profound change in lifestyles, breaking apart and revolutionising the concept of the traditional armchair while introducing different ways of sitting down and enjoying the home. Zanotta, in partnership with designer Paolo Lomazzi, has restyled the Galeotta armchair with trendy materials and different dimensions compared to the original design.
