Presented during Milan Design Week, the Nagori bed marks the debut collaboration between Zanotta and designer Simone Bonanni.
The project builds its identity on the balance between solidity and lightness: the solid wood structure, chosen as the defining material, gives shape to a solid frame, while the self-supporting upholstered headboard lends lightness to the whole.The structure housing the headboard cushions, rising in a gentle curve, lends sinuosity to the bed's profile. The joints are designed so that the components almost touch, resting delicately upon one another.

Nagori is designed to be admired from afar and appreciated up close. Its generous headboard, supported by a horizontal rail, provides exceptional comfort even while sitting, transforming the bed into a place to inhabit, equally suited to moments of rest and quiet reading.
The bed's name is rooted in the Japanese language: "nagori" describes the lingering feeling left by the passing of something, often associated with the changing seasons or the passage of time. It is a concept that perfectly reflects the essence of a bed: an intimate object connected to rest, comfort and love.This balance between form and function results in a bed designed to endure, both in everyday use and through the timeless quality of its aesthetic language.
