An iconic object of formal and technological innovation, Guscio is one of the symbols of Aurelio Zanotta’s intuition and extraordinary entrepreneurial ability. “After seeing and living in different types of tents, tukuls and huts, I felt inspired to design something like a comfortable yet small ‘shelter’, expandable as desired,” says Menghi. He created his Guscio using custom-designed prefabricated fiberglass-reinforced polyester elements, which can be assembled and disassembled. A full, rounded shape that, in dialogue with nature, highlights a unique functional simplicity.
Each unit can accommodate 2 to 4 people; it rests on a floor made of natural or white-lacquered solid larch wood and is equipped with 2 or 4 bunk beds, 2 wardrobes, a telescopic movable ceiling ventilator, and a window for air circulation. A place to dream beneath the stars.
